ANOTHER LINE ON MY BUCKET LIST READS: Begin a new line of commissioned work in the Day in the Life series entitled, To Grandma and Grandpa’s House We Go.
SOME OF MY fondest memories from childhood are with my grandparents. My grandma and grandpa lived 4 blocks from our house so we dropped in on a regular basis. I wish I would have had more than snapshots of my time with them, like a little book filled with memories to look back on.
Now that I am a grandmother myself, I see how seldom grandparents are in pictures. If you are of retirement age, the last professional pictures you probably had done were at your child’s wedding. The Day in a Life series is not a compilation of stiff portraits, but a collection of precious moments, taken in the comfortable atmosphere of your home.
WHAT DOES A DAY IN THE LIFE COMMISSION ENTAIL?
- A half hour consultation at your home to go over the important things in your relationship with your grandchildren… the things you do together. Or if the grandchildren are not available, how about a session of you in your home?
- I will spend about 4 hours the day of the shoot capturing moments. It’s pretty casual, don’t worry you will not have to spend 4 hours smiling at the camera.
- A week later you will come to the studio to see the images. After the approval of the pictures the volume will be ordered.
- The printing and binding process takes approximately three weeks.
Please stop by the studio to see examples of this new collection. Prices start at $795.
